"That's badass. You not only kill and eat a superhero; you have the chutzpah to complain that he tasted bad!"

Goin' solo. This is a good show, man.

I addressed that particular John Byrne quote, on the teen titans #50 ep. I admitted that John Byrne is an asshole. But I don't see what that has got to do with me thinking he's one of the great comic book writer/artists of the 20th century.

I ain't friends with the guy. I ain't trying to meet him at a con or nothin'....

Glad somebody liked it! Now, if only I could be as funny as someone I heard on another podcast who actually said (about Sally Floyd, I think) "I wish she was real...so I could kill her!" That's some classic shit.

I should probably do a Byrne-centric episode; My feelings on him and his work can best be described as "conflicted".

As far as his work is concerned, what's to be conflicted about? Marvel Team-Up, X-Men, FF, Alpha Flight and Superman were stellar.
If there were a comic book hall of fame, he'd be in it.

'kay, I replied to this, only it's over in the comments thread for #40 (and if I ever have as much to say as I do there in response to a post again, I might have to take a page from your own playbook and just do a "mailbag" segment on the show!)

Hey...sorry I couldn't comment earlier--I was at a Whips & Chains convention....T Mafia, this was a good show...I must give my Big Poppa props. I especially loved your goofing on the guy w/ the "'70s porn mustache." Considering you had one not that long ago, that does take, as you would say, "chutzpah".... :)

PCX: The Classics Tour.

1st TCM solo?

Not sure I like the solos, I think you need someone to play off of.

Or was the poison telling Isis to be vengeful and stuff?

And why didn't Black Adam ever develop a royal guard of superpowered beings? In a country of how many millions and no other metas? He sorta did with a few members of the JSA but I don't see why he never did with his own country men. Especially when it would let him know which metas in his country he could trust and which he should destroy.

The Isis TV show was a prefect example of another thing I hate about most TV superhero series, no real villains. Just guys in business suits.
