Xantes, you can't train a new Daredevil. The martial arts can be passed along, sure, but Daredevil has heightened senses and radar vision. You'd have to pull an Ultimate Spider-man and have the accident recreated. Except that Daredevil's accident is a bit more complicated to create.

Doctor Deth sounds like an interesting comic, so I checked on what's happening with the movie.

Yeah, seems like they snatch up whatever, but don't make them. Any of these look familiar?

I don't think a kid wielding a gun will be made into a movie anytime soon. Maybe a cartoon, and maybe straight to video.

An actual comment!

That site describes Doctor Death as "a skinny version of Charlie Brown that carries a gun" and given that, maybe they should turn the project over to the guys who got the similarly politically incorrect Rapeman cartoon made.

by Schooly D? Seriously he spoiled what I thought Dr Deth sounded like. To me Dr. Deth sounded like Lee Marvin on Dirty Dozen.

I couldn't find a recent update on the Dr Deth movie, checked Framelight's facebook. Last thing they posted was a Christmas greeting in December and before that were a few updates on other projects in August.

Vichussmith- Seriously, Daredevil is probably one of the more reproducible superheroes out there. Martial arts, almost every hero knows them. Then you get the hero a surround display helmet or such. Ironman uses one.

Maybe as per the trend, they'll give Dr. Deth a bow and arrows.

A Dr. Deth movie?! Hollywood still owes me a Buckaroo Banzai sequel!

Most superhero abilities could be replicated by humans. That's why normal humans are the biggest threat in any superhero universe.

If you'd said "except for Batman", then I'd totally agree with you.

Who's talking humans, specifically. I'm just saying Daredevil is an easier hero to replace. Harder to replace are the Hulk, Thor, Dr. Strange but Daredevil all you need is a martial arts master. See Iron Fist.

That's like saying everyone can be Bruce Lee, or Mohammed Ali.

Being a martial arts master is achievable, but not a piece of cake. Also, there are many forms of Martial Arts. Daredevil does not fight like Captain America. Captain America does not fight like Wolverine. Wolverine does not fight like Spider-man.

Also, who wants to be Daredevil? No one else has the passion for keeping his area under watch like Matt Murdock does. So, yeah, Like was mentioned, would you also replace Batman? According to your estimation, all you need to do is get a lot of money, train in martial arts, learn detective skills. Boom! You're Batman.

I think there's a bit more to it than that. I think the man makes the uniform, not the other way around.

I can't possibly be the only guy who downright hates Batman.

I mean, how many Robins has he let die this week?

Who said Batman's not replaceable? Batman is easier to replace than Superman.

Daredevil, check abilities. In the Marvel universe he can be replaced. Doesn't need to know all his styles just enough to kick the same foes Daredevil can. How did this discussion start anyway?

I agree that Daredevil should retire, but that probably won't ever happen.
